hiatus

A brief explanation of the alanlittle.org hiatus: my laptop had a nasty accident, involving me dropping it on the floor in a subway station on the way to work one morning. Powerbooks don’t seem to work well with bent cases. As regular readers (?) know, I do nearly all of my writing on the subway on the way to and from work; I really don’t have the time or energy to do it at home after spending my evenings with an energetic toddler.
I’m waiting to see if my insurance company is going to pay out on the laptop. If I wait much longer, though, the amount I spend on books will end up being more than enough to buy another laptop anyway.
